Oracle JDBC Drivers

It's implied from the Oracle web site that if you are using JDK 1.4, then you should use ojdbc.jar. Anyone know if there are issues using classes12.zip (Oracle site implies classes12.zip is for JDK 1.2 and JDK 1.3) with JDK 1.4? A quick Google search return this issue.

Why can't Sun (Java) do this as well?
